Vignesh Puthur

Vignesh Puthur, a left-arm wristspinner from Mallapuram in Kerala, made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians even before playing senior representative cricket for his state. Plucked out of the Kerala T20 league, where he played for Alleppey Ripples, Puthur made a successful step-up to the IPL, dismissing Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube and Deepak Hooda on debut in Chennai.Puthur played only three games in the inaugural Kerala T20 league for two wickets, but despite the small sample size, his left-arm mystery attracted the attention of MI, who called him for IPL trials and then bought him for INR 30 lakh ahead of IPL 2025.
