Remarkably, he achieved this feat after a 20-hour flight from New Zealand, right after his university exams.

Chapman decided to pursue a long-term international career with New Zealand, qualifying through his father. His commitment to New Zealand cricket led him to focus on domestic success with Auckland. His breakthrough came during the 2017-18 season, when he scored over 300 runs in the Super Smash and more than 400 runs in the Ford Trophy.
